CASSETTE STORE DAY « Tribute to French Radio Station OUÏ FM 1987-89 »

Cassette Store Day : Radio Dom Mixtape « Tribute to OUI FM 102.3 1987-1988 »
When I arrived to Paris in 1987 (when I was still young), the most existing radio station to listen to was called OUÏ FM. Their slogan: Le son qui a du sens (The sound that makes sense). Their programmes: all that you needed to listen to. Their ad posters: beautiful like album covers.
Today, the sound still makes sense. So I found some old cassettes that I registered at the time from OUÏ FM 102.3. The DJs were Laurie, Dom Kiris, Emmanuelle Debaussart…. Their taste in music and choice of artists made us dream.
So, to celebrate the International Cassette Store Day, I’ve ripped my old cassettes to recreate a new mixtape as a tribute to OUÏ FM! Happy listening and don’t forget rewind at the end!
